Fiona Hill is a senior fellow in the Center on the United States and Europe in the Foreign Policy program at Brookings. From 2017 to 2019, she served as deputy assistant to the president and senior director for European and Russian affairs on the National Security Council. Hill was among the fact witnesses before the House Intelligence Committee in November 2019, preceding the first Senate impeachment trial of President Trump in January 2020. Hill also served as national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia at The National Intelligence Council under Presidents Bush and Obama (2006 - 2009). A prolific writer and columnist, Hill most recently authored There Is Nothing For You Here: Finding Opportunity in the 21st Century (2021).
