Richard Rossow
Managing Director of McLarty Associates, leading the India & South Asia practice, and holds the Wadhwani Chair in US-India Policy Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He served as Director of Operations at the US-India Business Council from 1998 to 2008 and later worked at New York Life Insurance Company as Head of International Governmental Affairs from 2008 to 2012. Rossow earned his BA from Grand Valley State University and is a senior adviser at CSIS, where he focuses on India and Emerging Asia Economics.

India’s technological capabilities have expanded rapidly over the past decade , positioning the country as major global technology and innovation hub with leadership in software development, financial technology, and digital public infrastructure . Its government continues to invest in semiconductor manufacturing, artificial intelligence, telecommunications and defense technology to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers. Mr. Richard Rossow will examine India's evolving technological landscape and its growing role in global innovation and supply chains. Particular attention will be given to the opportunities created by U.S.-India cooperation, the rapid expansion of India's digital economy, and the country's efforts to attract high-value manufacturing investments as well as the constraints that continue to shape India's technological ambitions.
