Katja Wiesbrock Donovan is an attorney and diplomat for the German Foreign Service. She is currently on leave from her duties to set up and manage 1014, a new nonprofit organization that strives to address global topics from a transatlantic perspective in different formats (www.1014.nyc). Prior positions at the Ministry include the policy planning unit at headquarters in Berlin as well as the German Mission to the United Nations in New York. She was also one of the officials who represented the EU in the United Nations during Germany’s rotating presidency of the EU in 2007. Katja is, inter alia, a member of the American Council on Germany, and the JFK Friendship Center. She has studied law and received a PhD in international law from the University in Goettingen, Germany.
