Ann Korelitz

Ann Korelitz, a Family Therapist and life-long New Yorker, has a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, MSW from Hunter College and Post Graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy. Ann started work in the Psychology Department of the Family Court, then at Ackerman, where she became a Senior Training Supervisor for the Intern Program. She maintained a busy private practice for 30 years and continues today to do supervising and consulting privately. Her field of specialty is couples and families in conflict with adult children. During the years of her practice, Ann chose to keep one third of her treatment hours for patients with low incomes, feeling that this was a meaningful way to contribute to those who might otherwise not be served. She has served on three co-op Boards and was previously the liaison to fellow co-op owners in her building. She also is on the Admissions Committee. Ann has served for the last 5 years as Vice Chair and was previously the Chair of The Public Interest Committee at the Cosmopolitan Club. She served on on the Executive Committee of the Arts and Interest Committee. This Committee oversees the work of the 20+ individual committees providing the bulk of the programming for the Club. Ann also served as the Chair of the Nomination Committee that proposes the slate of future officers of the Club. She is now on The Architecture and Design Committee.
